Our God Video – Song By Chris Tomlin

11 Jun

After a 12 hour road trip today, I enjoyed hearing this song tonight.  It’s another Passion classic from Chris Tomlin.

Story Behind “God Of This City”

05 Feb

I originally thought this was a song written by Chris Tomlin.  But after digging a little deeper, I found that an Irish Christian band from Belfast named “Bluetree” actually wrote this song.  The story behind how they wrote it is pretty incredible.  It shows how we should be ready to stand up for the Lord at anytime in any place.  Here’s one of the band members talking about how they wrote the song and then below it is the song itself.  As you look out over the population of your own city or town today, I hope this powerful song comes to mind.

“Emmanuel” – Chris Tomlin

20 Dec

One of the things that sets Christianity apart from the world’s religions is the Incarnation.  God doesn’t sit in the high regions of the heavens casting judgment on His people based on their works.  Rather, He Himself came to dwell amongst us and pay the price for our unrighteousness.

Weekend Update – Glory In The Highest

06 Dec

I heard this song in our school’s Christmas program last week.  Then, Chris Tomlin played it last night on his Christmas special on the Gospel Music Channel.  Chris released this song awhile back on his “See You In The Morning” CD (do we even say album anymore?) but it’s also included on his newest release “Glory In The Highest: Christmas Songs of Worship.”  It truly is a song of worship.
